Velocity Esports Racing at Playcon 2022

Playcon, Malta’s largest game development and esports expo, took place at MFCC Ta’ Qali between the 3rd and 6th of November 2022. The event showcased both local communities and internationally renowned companies such as Ubisoft and ESL.

One of the local exhibitors at the event was Velocity Esports Racing, which was their first time at an expo. They showcased their racing simulators, allowing visitors to experience the thrill of virtual racing. Visitors had the opportunity to take part in a time trial competition on the F1 22 game around the Canadian Grand Prix track, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, and get guided by current V1 Malta Series drivers and two-time national champion Jake Sammut. This was a great opportunity for visitors to meet and interact with professional drivers and get a taste of the competitive esports scene.

The expo also featured keynote speeches from industry leaders, panel discussions, and workshops on various topics related to game development and esports. The event provided a platform for industry professionals to network and share knowledge and ideas, as well as for visitors to learn more about the industry and explore the latest trends and developments in the field.
