V1 MALTA SERIES : ROUND 7 – UNITED KINGDOM

 SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT

Jake Sammut (McLaren) wins another race after starting from pole position. In qualifying, the margins were so close that the top five were separated by just three tenths.

Adrian Manduca (Haas) had an amazing start which helped him take the lead after starting from third. He dominated the whole race but after a five-second time penalty from a pitlane speed limit infringement, Jake Sammut (McLaren) won the race. The safety car was deployed after not even one racing lap after an incident between Mark Grech (Williams) and Keith Muscat (Alpine). It was looking good for Chris Ciantar (Reserve) as he was so close to getting his first points after a long stint with the hard tyres. This unfortunately ended just nine laps from the checkered flag after an unexpected puncture. On the last laps, we could see a close battle for P8 between three cars. Their final placements were decided by post-race penalties. Adrian Manduca (Haas) and Brandon Bonello (Mercedes) completed the podium. Liam Gatt (Ferrari) earned his first Driver of the Day Award after finishing fourth after a consistent race.
