The Asphalt Kings Championship returned following a one-week break, with two races now having taken place in Barcelona and Sardegna, with Jake Sammut prevailing in Barcelona and taking full advantage of Daniel Vella’s absence, while Vella returned in Sardegna and did so with a bang as he took the win while Sammut finished in second place despite Sammut having started on pole.
Aided in no small part by Vella’s absence in Barcelona, Sammut returned back to the lead of the Drivers’ Championship with Sammut currently on 109 points while Vella has 104. As there are just two races remaining, should Sammut outscore Vella in the next race by 23 or more points, then he will be confirmed champion, but Vella will surely have something to say about that as the pressure for the title ramps up.

The next race takes place on Monday 2nd September in Fuji, with the finale on Monday 9th September in Mount Panorama – do not miss out!
