ASPHALT KINGS: AYRTON BIRMINGHAM WINS THE FIRST RACE AFTER A LAST LAP OVERTAKE ON DENZIL AGIUS

Round 1 – Trial Mountain Circuit, (Fictional GT7 circuit)

The much-awaited Asphalt King GT3 Series roared to life with a breathtaking first race as Ayrton Birmingham emerged victorious after an intense battle with Denzil Agius.

The excitement began with a 10-minute qualifying session, where Daniel J Vella put on an impressive performance, securing pole position with a remarkable five-tenths lead ahead of Ayrton Birmingham and Mikhail Mercieca.

After a slow start by the front row starters, Mercieca seized the moment with a lightning-fast start, surging into the lead before even reaching Turn 1. The high tyre wear and fuel depletion made the race more exciting as it added a strategic element to the racing. From the first few laps we saw some incredible racing throughout the whole grid. At the front, Ayrton Birmingham and Denzil Agius demonstrated their mastery of their GT3 machines, exchanging positions and pushing each other to the limits. Birmingham ended up winning the race after a last lap overtake on Agius. Agius still managed to get an extra point with the Fastest Lap.

Tragedy struck the race when the power cut claimed two talented drivers, Jamie Mangion and pole-sitter Daniel J Vella. Both drivers had shown immense potential, and their untimely exit was a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of esports.
